Dance Your Heart Out

It’s become a tradition—our trademark fundraising Celebrity Dance Gala.

Held the first Saturday in March, our “Celebrity Gala Dance” fundraiser features 8 local “celebrities” paired with 8 local dance instructors, burning up the dance floor competing for the coveted “Champion” trophy given to the dancer who raises the most funds for the Marion Women’s Club & Home.

2027 "Starry, Starry Night" Lineup

2027 Gala funds will help us with the Club Home's exterior window restoration project estimated at more than $125,000. Windows in the historic home, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, have suffered severe weathering and deterioration since it was built in 1903. The project includes the addition of
preservation-grade storm windows to maintain the integrity of the original building for generations to
come.

“We know the window restoration project is a big undertaking,” explained Valerie Wigton, president.

“But we’re confident our next gala will provide us with enough funds to begin the project in phases. Our community continues to help us reach for the stars every year!”

Each year, we turn the Women’s Club & Home into an elegantly decorated, themed extravaganza showcasing the talents of local celebrities who share our mission.

“Butler Buddies” and “Bartender Babes” strut their stuff for a jam-packed audience -- making memories – and money – to support ongoing preservation efforts.

Our 2026 Celebrity Dance Gala raised more than $98,000 to help fund the construction of a new back porch on the north side of the historic home, replacing the unsafe and dilapidated structure!
