Mother's Day Brunch

SPRING 2026 | The Marion Women’s Club is hosting a Mother’s Day “Generations in Bloom” Brunch and  fashion show Saturday, May 9, to celebrate special women in our lives. 

Beginning at 10am, guests will enjoy a full brunch catered by Club Member and CatererSue  Schwamberger. Club Member Paula Alves will host a fashion show featuring clothing from her Downtown Marion boutiquePaula’s Posh Picks, with pop-up sales to follow. 

The event will take place in the Abigail Harding Lewis Auditorium adjacent to the historic home on the  Women’s Club property, 1126 E. Center St., Marion. Overflow parking will be available in the adjacent  AgCredit parking lot.  

MENU | features a full brunch with breakfast casserole with sausage, fresh fruit bowl, chicken salad and  croissants, vegetable tray with dips, chips and dip, variety of breads and muffins, and a yogurt bar with  toppings.  

TICKETS | Adults are $35, and $20 per child ages 10 and under. The cost includes the brunch buffet and one mimosa or signature iced coffee drink, as well as a door prize ticket. Additional door prize tickets and beverages may also be purchased. 

Registration deadline is May 1 and seating is limited.  

“As a long-standing tradition, our Club is again conducting a service project by supporting The Period  Project this year,” explained Valerie Wigton, Women’s Club president. “We are collecting feminine  hygiene products for girls and women all throughout the year and inviting Brunch guests to bring a  donation of tampons and pads to support girls and women in need in our community.” 

Wigton pointed out that the Club’s Brunch committee, led by Jackie Zugg, will transform the “Generations in Bloom” theme, decorating the Auditorium with floral décor. “No matter the weather, it’ll  be a beautiful Spring day inside,” she noted. “We encourage guests to invite children, grandchildren,  mothers, daughters, sisters and friends, following the first two words in our mission: Empowering  women.”
