Have you made your resolutions for the new year yet? The Marion Women's Club had a resolution in 1915 of finding a new home for our organization.
This HerStory helps to explain the importance of the Barlow Home to the Marion Women's Club. As seen here, members would meet in places like the Carnegie Library and the First Presbyterian Church. While this was helpful, the Club was often required to pay a rental and a janitorial fee, which was not sustainable for the amount of times the Club would meet through the year. We are forever thankful to Ida and Shauck Barlow for bequeathing their home to the Marion Women's Club.
Happy New Year's Eve!
